Plantations

The group's plantation operations comprise: the cultivation of oil palms on the group's East Kalimantan estates; the processing of oil palm fresh fruit bunches into crude palm oil ("CPO") and other oil palm products; and the despatch of such CPO and products to the port of Samarinda for sale to customers.

Corporate social responsibility ("CSR") is integral to the operations. Internally, training and the provision of appropriate estate amenities (including schools and health facilities) are important aspects of the groups's commitment to its workforce.

Externally, in areas and local villages surrounding the operations, the group is active in promoting smallholder development of oil palm and in supporting community programmes that assist with the development and financing of self help projects. In addition, the group maintains its own conservation department.
