Crude palm oil and palm kernels produced by the mill are transported by road to a loading point on the Belayan river some 4 kilometres away for transfer downstream by purpose built barge. The oil is pumped into below deck tanks while bags of kernels are lifted by crane onto the barge deck (see photograph).
